MY BIO

To fulfill my dream of becoming a fashion designer, I moved from California to New York to obtain a BFA degree from Marist College in Fashion Design. I chose Marist not only for its outstanding Fashion program, but its equally respected Business program. Along with my BFA in Fashion Design, I received a double minor in Business Administration and Fashion Merchandising. I studied abroad in Paris at the fashion business school Mod’Spe. My favorite experiences at Mod’Spe were learning how to incorporate sustainability into the fashion supply chain and developing a business plan for a collection focused on convertibility.

Staying true to my California roots, I am passionate about raising awareness for socially conscious and environmentally friendly fashion. My designs reflect this by staying grounded in classic styles to transcend time and seasons. I am excited to be launching my career at a time when sustainability has become globally recognized as an important factor across all levels of the fashion industry. Eventually, I want to start my own sustainable and ethical fashion brand.

As an Assistant Designer At Bella Dahl, I enjoy using Adobe to illustrate CADs and create Linesheets across all Women’s Sportswear and Soft Structure collections for our 12 deliveries a year. By constantly keeping a keen eye on color, wash and dye trends, I put together fresh and imaginative inspiration mood boards to establish creative direction for the design team. Using Adobe Fresco I sketch new styles for our W’s Sportswear category that align with current trends and Bella’s customer. I send out lab dips and coordinate with our local dye houses to ensure alignment with our current color direction. As an experienced user of the apparel ERP system, AIMS 360, I input styles, fabrics, colors, and prices to create cost sheets and BOMs. In addition, I input pricing into the Wholesale Management system, Joor. I create and revise our sale’s InDesign Linebooks to our wholesalers worldwide. Using Excel, I input and manipulate color, print and fabric data then generate charts to showcase usage across collections. A highlight of my position is attending the LA Textile and Preface LA shows and visiting the local dye and wash houses to develop professional relationships and cement mutual understanding and respect for the roles each of us play in the success of Bella Dahl. I also, have enjoyed getting experience on the marketing and art direction side of the fashion industry at Bella Dahl. As the sole representative of the design team at Linebook and Catalog photoshoots, I am responsible for determining the style direction of each shoot.

In my design internship at Toad & Co (Santa Barbara) from 2020-2021, my first assignment was to create seasonal swatch books for the Fall ‘21 collection. I was immersed in sustainable and ethical fabrics, many of which are bluesign® and STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® certified. In addition, I applied the PLM skills I acquired in school by updating their Line List and asset management within the Gerber PLM System.

In 2019, my summer design internship at Li & Fung (New York City) taught me a lot about the global apparel industry. I assisted the production and merchandising teams as well as the design team, and learned about the importance of communication and attention to detail when dealing with off-shore factories and suppliers. Designing and sourcing Aeropostale’s denim, my team educated me on the whole design and production process of developing a denim collection.

The previous summer I interned at Anine Bing (Los Angeles) as a design intern. I created flats, graphics, and patterns for their new collections and helped the design team research fabrics and trends. That same summer, I also interned at the office lifestyle brand, Fluid Stance (Santa Barbara). As an independent design consultant I gathered requirements from the CEO and key associates to design and produce a prototype of new apparel product to be marketed on Kickstarter.
